PALILULA TAKES CARE ABOUT VULNERABLE CITIZENS

President of Palilula Municipality Boban Dzunic and member of Municipal Council Ivica Stojanovic, visited for the second time the six member Milosevic family in Krusce village, that lives in very hard conditions and gave them new packages of humanitarian help. Srdjan Milosevic, 55, was once employed in Juzna Morava, but lost his job two years ago. In the meantime the family left also his wife Tatjana. Srdjan was left to take care alone of his children: Miroslav (18), Milica (17), Mladen (13) and Miljan (4). Miroslav and Milica are passing exams (not regularly) in School of Commerce and Mladen goes to OS `Desanka Maksimovic` in Cokot and he is a good pupil. They live on children allowance money and social help which is too little for this big family. About the problems of this family the public found out more during the realization of the project `Strengthening of Municipal capacities for the improvement of life quality of social-vulnerable groups` from Exchange 3 Programme, successfully realized by Palilula Municipality.

After visiting this household by Boban Dzunic, new meeting and donors presents came instantly. `After the proposal of the president of the Citizen Council organized the action of help for this family - says Milos Stojkovic, Palilula Assembly president. 15 days ago we provided for this family table, chairs, two beds, food, shoes and clothes and after that 5 meters of wood. Today the delegation of Palilula gave new donations of Municipality and citizens - twin bed, fridge, tv set, blankets, quilts and some clothes. The action will not be stopped here. During winter time we will call constuction firms and storage spaces that deal with the selling of construction material to help us renovate the Milosevic house and provide children in this way basic conditions for living, says Stojkovic, and then we will equip bathroom and connect it to water supply system.

`I live in very hard conditions, says Srdjan Milosevic, father. Frequently I cannot find any jobs and I am not any more very much capable of work either. Hard times. Hardly meeting the ends. Even the seeds and plants that we plant in the field is usually destroyed by bad weather, like dry long periods. We do not have money almost at all and the thing we have is not sufficient. When someone call me from fellow neighbors to help them, I always go. This Municipal help and good people mean a lot to me. I`d like to thank my Municipality and presidents Dzunic and Stojkovic. I will never be able to forget this support that was given, the hand that was given to my family to survive through this hard year`.

To finish our report with the message that was said by the aauthorities of Palilula -solidarity and support to vulnerable citizens, specially children and old people, in this hard time in our obligation. That is our humanity, but also responsibilty of local authorities exam.
